Returns and Refunds Policy

Mextapas Ltd (company number 16463514) wants you to be delighted with your purchase. This policy explains your rights to cancel, return, or seek a refund.

1. Your right to cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 calendar days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason.

2. Conditions for returns

To be eligible for a return, your bottle must be:

- Unopened and with the original seal intact
- In its original packaging
- Returned within 14 days of you notifying us of cancellation
- Not damaged through misuse

Opened bottles cannot be returned for hygiene and legal reasons relating to alcohol resale.

3. How to cancel and return

To cancel your order, email contact@mextapas.co.uk with your order number and reason for return. We will respond within 2 working days with return instructions.

You are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless the goods are damaged or incorrect.

4. Damaged or incorrect orders

If your order arrives damaged or you receive the wrong product, contact us within 48 hours of delivery at contact@mextapas.co.uk with photographs of the damage and your order number. We will arrange a free replacement or full refund including return shipping costs.

5. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect the returned goods, we will process your refund within 14 days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

If the goods are returned in unsatisfactory condition (opened, damaged through misuse, missing packaging), we reserve the right to reduce the refund amount or refuse the return.

6. Non-returnable items

The following items cannot be returned:

- Opened bottles
- Gift vouchers
- Personalised or custom orders
- Items damaged through misuse

7. Cooling-off period exclusions

Note that gift vouchers and personalised items are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right under UK consumer law.
