These terms govern your use of shop.mextapas.co.uk and any purchases you make through it. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

2. Age verification

By placing an order with us, you confirm that:

- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are purchasing for personal consumption, not for resale to anyone under 18
- You are aware that UK law requires our courier to obtain an adult signature on delivery

We use an age verification gate on our site and require adult signature on delivery. We may refuse any order where age cannot be confirmed.

3. Products

All products sold on this site are artisanal mezcals produced in Oaxaca, Mexico, imported and distributed under UK alcohol licensing regulations. Product descriptions, tasting notes, and images are provided in good faith. Slight variations in batch, label, or packaging may occur.

4. Pricing

All prices are in GBP and include any applicable UK taxes. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. The price you pay is the price displayed at the time of order.

5. Placing an order

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. We accept your offer when we send you an order confirmation email. A contract is formed at that point.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order, including but not limited to:

- Insufficient stock
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Delivery to addresses we believe may be trade or resale buyers
- Failure to meet age verification requirements

6. Payment

We accept payment via Shopify Payments (credit/debit card) and PayPal. Payment is taken at the time of order. We do not store full payment card details.

7. Resale prohibition

The mezcal sold through shop.mextapas.co.uk is for personal consumption only. You may not:

- Resell our products to consumers or trade buyers
- Use our products for commercial purposes without our written consent
- Order in quantities suggesting wholesale or trade intent (orders of 6 or more bottles may be reviewed)

Bar, restaurant, hotel, and other trade buyers should contact our trade partner La Palma Trade Ltd directly.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising from your use of this site or our products is limited to the price you paid for the relevant order. We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

10. Responsible drinking

We are committed to responsible drinking. Please drink mezcal responsibly. UK Chief Medical Officers advise no more than 14 units per week, spread across three or more days. For support and advice, visit drinkaware.co.uk.

11. Intellectual property

All content on shop.mextapas.co.uk, including text, images, logos, and product descriptions, is the property of Mextapas Ltd or our partners. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use this content without our written consent.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
